Steel Showdown
What: Steel Showdown is an action pistol match that requires the competitor to hit 5 or less Static steel targets. Most stages specify a specific steel target to be shot last (Stop Plate) This format is friendly to all skill levels and is a great event to introduce new shooters to action pistol event. Each competitor will shoot each stage 5 times, commonly referred to as a string. The highest string time per stage is thrown out. The 4 lowest string times are totaled to give a total stage time. All stage times are then combined for a total match time. Lowest time gets bragging rights.
When: 2nd Saturday of each month, Set up 8:30 , Registration Starts 9:00, New Shooter Check out 9:30, Match starts 10:00. **Squads will be formed at sign in - so if you wish to shoot with friends - Squad early.
**** New Shooters - (i.e. Any Shooter who has not had a new shooter check out at a BGSL Pistol Event) must attend a new shooters check out – or they will not be able to shoot. (New Shooter Check starts at 9:30am)

Eye and hearing protection is required for shooters and spectators. Ammo – a typical match would require 125 – this is with no misses – BRING EXTRA -Recommend 250rds per Gun. We will offer a second relay for shooters who wish to shoot the match a second time. (Same pistol or different) **No Second Relay Nov - Feb**
