What is Steel Showdown?
Steel Showdown is an action pistol match that requires the competitor to hit 5 or less Static steel targets. Most stages specify a specific steel target to be shot last (Stop Plate) This format is friendly to all skill levels and is a great event to introduce new shooters to action pistol event. Each competitor will shoot each stage 5 times, commonly referred to as a string. The highest string time per stage is thrown out. The 4 lowest string times are totaled to give a total stage time. All stage times are then combined for a total match time. Lowest time gets bragging rights. View past match results here.
