Due to flood damage at Ft. Boonesborough State Park, the usual location of this shoot, the match was held on the Muzzleloader Range at the Blue Grass Sportsmen’s League for the second year in a row, but, unlike last year (with severe covid restrictions), the Pennsylvania Team came to Kentucky in person, which was a good thing; unfortunately, also unlike last year, Pennsylvania beat Kentucky.
This flintlock match has happened every year since the challenge from PA Governor Scranton to KY Governor Combs in 1963. While we hope that it can return to Ft. Boonesborough State Park next year, the BGSL Muzzleloader Division was proud to host the match and keep the string unbroken.
