There are several options for camping at BGSL for both members and event attendees:
Modern RV Sites
Primitive Campsites for Members
Campsites with Limited Water and Electrical
Modern RV Sites
Modern RV sites with electrical and water hookups are located in the parking lot beside the main clubhouse (just across the road from the pavilion) and in front of the casting ponds. There is a fee to use these sites, and they must be reserved in advance. Call the Office at 859-858-4060 for details and to reserve a spot.
RV Dump Station
There is an RV dumping station on the right side of the main entrance road as you are leaving the club.
Primitive Campsites
Camping sites for members are located on the east side of the club, turning toward the fishing pond and Walking Trails at the clubhouse driveway, and going past the fishing pond (on the right) and through the opening in the rock wall, continuing until you see the camping area sign.
These sites are considered primitive and have no electrical hookups or nearby access to potable water. Most sites will have charcoal grills or fire pits and a small picnic table for member use. Overnight campers must sign-in with operations; a sign-in sheet can be found to the right of the operations manager’s office door.
Primitive Campsites
Campsites with Limited Electrical and Water
Very limited electrical and water service* are available for three campsites with tents or small campers in the Muzzle Loader camping area behind the cabin and the ax throwing target. Standard 120V/25A electrical outlets are available at each of the three sites, and there are two water hydrants, one near the cabin and the other near the campsites. There is also a large fire ring for the use of campers.
A fee will be charged to use these sites, and they must be reserved well in advance. Call the Office at 859-858-4060 for details and to reserve a spot.
*Note: Water service at Muzzle Loader is seasonal (only during the warmer months).
